How to set up multiple PayPal accounts

Hi everyone!

I just bought EventsBooking and have had a great experience with it so far. However, I've ran into a little problem and figured maybe you know a solution:

Our organization has several different departments with separate PayPal accounts (but one single website). I currently have one event ("event A") registration running, which goes to one department's PayPal account.
Now I have to start an event registration for another department ("event B"), but don't know how to send the funds to a different PayPal account than the one that's currently entered for event A.

So, how can I run multiple events simultaneously and link registration payments to different PayPal accounts?

Thank for your help!

Valerie

Hi

It is simple . When you setup an event, in Advance Settings tab, there is a field called Paypal Email . You can simply enter the Paypal account which you want to receive payment for that event and all payments for that event will go to the entered Paypal account .

Basically, you can use different Paypal accounts for different events. If you don't enter Paypal Email for an event, the default Paypal email which you entered on Paypal payment plugin will be used.

Hope my explanation is clear to you .

Regards,

Tuan

Hi Tuan,

Thanks for the quick response.
My trouble is that I need to run multiple events at the SAME time, and each of them needs to be linked to a DIFFERENT PayPal account.
So changing the email address in the Advance Settings tab won't help, as I still need to have the other PayPal email address up and active for the first event.

Is there a way to enter multiple, different PayPal accounts at the SAME time (with multiple Paypal Email fields)?

Thanks for your help! It's greatly appreciated! :)

Hi Valerie

As I said, with each event, you can use it's own Paypal account (in Advance tab) and these Paypal accounts can be use in the same time .

For example, you have event A . You can enter Paypal account A into Paypal email field on Advanced settings tab .

For example, you have event B. You can enter Paypal account B into Paypal email field on Advanced settings tab .

When users register for event A, money will be transfered to Paypal account A .

When other users register for event B, money will be transfered to Paypal account B .

and the two events can happens in the same time, they are independent .

Unless I am don't understand your requirement correctly, the above solution meets your requirement perfectly . Try it and you will see that It works .

Tuan

Hi Tuan,

I misunderstood you before.
Anyway, I did what you described and it worked! Awesome! Thank you so much for your help!

One more quick question: Is there a way to hide all of the Event Properties, so that only the registration buttons are showing?

Kind regards,

Valerie

Sorry to bother you again, but I have a few more questions:

Is there a way to change the color of the registration button to make it stand out more? Also, I'd like to put an additional registration button on the top of my page, to make sure folks that don't scroll all the way down still see it. Is that possible?

I tried to register myself as a test, and proceeded all the way to the PayPal screen (I did not make a payment, as it was just a test). But when I look at the registrants list nothing shows up. Does it only count registrants that paid or does it take a few hours to update?

Sorry for all of these questions. I do greatly appreciate your help! (If you have a manual of some sort that explains all of these please feel free to post it.)

Best wishes,

Valerie

Hi Tuan,

I have set everything up as explained and when I check out all the money goes to the account listed in the first event. How do we get PayPal to send to different accounts?

Does this work in the States? Do I need a special PayPal account for the site?

Thanks
