Prevent Duplicate Registration not working was created by Michael Kilhullen
Using Event Booking 1.3.3 in Joomla 1.6.

I have prevent duplicate registration set to yes. I can enter a registration for the same person multiple times. How are dup's determined? I assume it's determined by email. Why would this not work?

Hi

Right now, the prevent duplicate registration just check User ID of the user who is registering for the event. I will try to add email check for duplicate registration on the version 1.3.5 (1.3.4 with many new nice features will be released this week) .

Has this been fixed? I am still able to register for the same event multiple times. (v 1.4.0)

Email check seems to be a better solution, because it works even if a person is not logged in as a user (which is what we are doing).

having the same problem, that is to say
when a member registered more than once for an event
-if i choose view list it display's only one
-if i use the export CSV than they are as often on the list as the registered

it would be nice if the get a message that they are already registered

HI,

I Have prevent duplicate selected to "YES" and I'm able to have people register twice, with same names and same email? I'm using the latest EB as of two weeks ago (1.4.X).

Is EB still looking at user ID or is it supposed to look at email to determine duplication?

Right now, it still looks for Users ID to check duplicate registration. In the next few days, I will improve it so that it will check emails as well !

This is a feature I badly need. I need to be able to prevent duplicate registrations based on email, not the id, without the user having to login.

All my events are public, and many of my Admins are getting duplicate registartions emails fom the same individuals who are signing up twice (some individuals are IT challenged).

I would think this would be a popular feature. Your assistance in this is appreciated.
