Custom Fields in e-Mails was created by Ian spence
Hi,

Firstly, this is an excellent component and I've been very impressed with how easy it is to configure. However, I'm at a loss of how to get the custom fields to appear on the registration and other e-mails. I have created 4 custom fields which are appearing absolutely fine on the registration forms but they don't appear on any e-mails. I can't see any particular configuration field that allows me to set the custom fields as visible in e-mails. I would be grateful for your assistance.

Also, when looking at the registration list, is it possible to also show the custom fields on that pop-up page?

Thanks

Ian.

Hi

The custom fields should be available in the email if you use [REGISTRATION_DETAIL] tag in the email message. The otherway is that you use the name of custom field in the email message directly . For example, if you have a custom field name eb_description and you want to include this field in the email, you can use this tag [EB_DESCRIPTION] (please note that you need to use the field name in uppercase) in the tag.

Could you try ?

Regards,

Tuan

Hi Tuan,

Certainly using REGISTRATION_DETAIL wasn't working.. it was only showing the non-custom fields. I have tried your suggestion to reference the custom fields directly...e.g.

<p>[EB_PICKUP]</p>
<p>[EB_NUM_SEATS]</p>
<p>[EB_HTB_MEMBER]</p>
<p>[EB_CONTACT_TELEPHONE]</p>

However, this just results in the field names themselves being printed in the e-mail... not the values.

Your assistance much appreciated.

Hi Tuan,

Again, thanks for your support. Now that I know that this functionality definitely works by default, I will do an uninstall/re-install to make sure that I haven't done something to cause this myself.

OK Ian

As I am busy now on working to finish a major release of the extension (with many new nice features), I will stop repling this thread (I know your are not in rush) . I will release this version this week (or lately on Monday next week), and we can check it again by the time ? Is it Ok ?

Regards,

Tuan
