custom field assignment based on location

I have custom fields that apply only to a location. I know there's a way to select or exclude events, but it shows the event title and date but not the location. It has been difficult and prone to errors to cross reference the course name and date with the location. It would be more accurate and certainly easier if I could choose a location.
