Next Local Event Search Feature

Hi together, 

a feature i'm currently missing is a search feature wich helps the user to find the next closest event in terms of distance regardless of the radius. Let me explain:  
We have already the opportunity to search with a radius feature which is a good feature but not suitable in many other use cases. 

In detail: 

1. The user enters his own address or us a GPS feature to determine his address, if possible the implementation of the Google google.maps.places.Autocomplete would be great.
2. The user can see the next 1-5 available locations from his own address. It would be cool if we can setup how many nearby locations should be displayed from the backend (1-x). 

Which also could be a nice addition is that the distance of each search results from the entered address is displayed as a value like xx.xKM.

Not working exactly like that but you can try to use search module. It has radius search feature which allows searching for events within certain distance

Thank you for your recommendation.
Unfortunately, it doesn't fit into my ideal marketing funnel vision, so I took the time and developed this feature on my own.

I made some changes in the Model, View, and Template folders and now have it exactly like the page already had: anna-app.de/

Thanks Lennart. Could you please share the modified files here? I don't know if I am interested in the change yet, I will have to look at the code. But even if I do not include it into the core package, it would still benefit users who has same requirement

Hi, yes of course I will share the code with you. Im currently working on it and putting some features in. I guess it will took 2-3 weeks till I got it final.
