A short FAQ on the upgrade process would be very appreciated.
Also, please add a standard way to add custom strings to language files so that upgrading doesn't overwrite them. For example, supporting a en-GB.com_eventbooking_custom.ini file, if someone creates it.
If anything along those lines already exists, please let me know. Thank you.

I searched for general techniques for dealing with customized strings in Joomla, and one good method is summarized in
this article

If you use that method, you don't have to worry about your custom strings being overwritten by upgrades.
Their idea is to add or update the required strings in a custom theme/template. Apparently you can override any particular string there, in Joomla or any extension, since templates are loaded last.
