Adding events where the date is not yet finalised was created by intouchweb
We often get events that have been planned and the month has been determined but not the actual day, and requested to add them to the calendar as a Date to be Confirmed.
Does anyone have any tips or workarounds on adding events to Events Booking AND have it show on the correct month as TBC or without a set date?
Tuan have you ever considered solutions to this issue?
Ideally I would like to be able to imput events without a fixed date (eg month and year but blank day), then have the events displayed say under the calendar of the correct month...?
Any thoughts would be appreciated.

I believe we have that option supported already. See
eventbookingdoc.joomservices.com/faqs/ev...ithout-specific-date

Ok great thanks Tuan, I wasn't aware of that special date, defintely solves the problem of input, however not the visual calendar. If we know the month that an event will be in, it would be great if we could imnput the month only (eg May 2023) and it appear on the visual calendar at the bottom of the correct month (say where the event type legend appears) . That way a visitor can browse each month and see what is coming up month by month.
Just a suggestion but may be difficult to implement...

Ah, that's unfortunately, quite hard. So you can only use the mentioned workaround for now. Of course, the event, won't be displayed in the calendar

Yes I thought it might be, understandable.
At least we can now input events without a fixed date, and the "To Be Confirmed" is great, except...
When we switch the view to "Timeline Layout" the date shows as '31 Dec 2099' rather than 'To Be Confirmed' both in the circle graphic AND next to the calendar icon. Would be great if they could also show "TBC" or "To be Confirmed" in that view?

Hey,
at the moment we are building our website (relaunch) with Event Booking integrated and had to face the same problem.
Some of our events are proposed for a period of time, even several months, and will be going to take place every time there are enough partecipants.
So we insert them for example 01/01/2023 to 31/03/2023 and they will show up on top of the timeline, even on 02/02/2023.
And in the calendar view we have a continuos line showing up for the entire period (see attached screenshot).
Booking this event one have to insert the desired date in a custom field for this type of events.
It's just another way to solve your posted problem "We often get events that have been planned and the month has been determined but not the actual day, ..."

Hello
For this, maybe you can use this special date for event date eventbookingdoc.joomservices.com/faqs/ev...ithout-specific-date ?

Hey Tuan,
I've seen this one in your answer #153269, but no, this solution has not the behaviour we need.
We want the event to show up (more or less) correctly in calendar view and in upcoming events.
Regards,
Rudolf

Hmm
Without a specific date, I don't know how the system could display it right in the calendar and in upcoming events module ?

Hey Tuan,
we insert the whole period, for example May 01, 2023 to October 31, 2023.
Look at the attached screenshots or visit the site (still in development) at www3.berge-erleben.com/en/programme/upcoming-events.html
