password restricted event expiration

Due to the popularity of the courses we offer we develop a large waiting list. We give a set time for the waiting list to have first chance at registering for the next years courses. In order to do this we use the password function and send them the password by email. It would be nice to have the password requirement automatically be removed by a set date similar to the cutoff date. 

Honestly, this is not needed by most of our customers. So we don't have plan to support it, at least until there are more customers need it.
