Custom Message When No Dates Available

I don't see a method for doing this currently but I have events that recur seasonally, meaning much of the time the event's main page on the front end has a blank space under the "Available Show Dates" heading. I would love to have the ability to toggle on or off a custom message when there are no dates displayed directing people to sign up for our mailing list for further notifications about that particular event. Especially since my newsletter sign up is directly below the blank space!

Just FYI- I don't know how many others may do this with their sites, but in order for me to display things the way I need them, my Parent Events are set to 12-31-2099 and set to a state of "Disable Registration" making them invisible to the front end customer. I individually turn on the registration for each Child Event, which then displays those dates on the individual front end Event main pages for each show.

I mention this as the feature- for me anyway- would have to work in that scenario i.e. when the Parent Event is set to "Disable Registration". For me it would not simply work as an automatic feature when there are no scheduled dates, as I will always have the Parent Events scheduled for 12-31-2099.

What it is displaying in this instance is the parent event, with the date of 12-31-2099 and set to "Disable Registration"



That way, the show page remains visible for people to visit and sign up for the mailing list to be notified when tickets for the show are available again (the shows are seasonal.)

What I would like to do is insert a custom message when there are no dates available to further encourage signing up to the mailing list, which will put them in a Mailchimp list for that particular show so they can be easily notified:
