We use the Extra Information facility
It is easy to set up xml file to add additional information fields.

However, all fields set up this way are assigned default access (whatever you ACL rules are for viewing events)
We want to use some of these fields for use by our event organising staff only, so that information about the event can be placed in these fields but only for staff usage
It would be great if you could add access rules to these additional fields.
So you could say:
Field 1 access =Public
Field 2 access =Registered
Field 3 access= Manager
etc
