OpenStreetMap alternative to Google Maps was created by Jason Ball

With the recent commercialisation of Google Maps , in my opinion OS Solutions should provide an alternative to Google Maps.

The open data service by OpenStreetMap is a suitable candidate.

I agree: Event Booking should have OpenStreetMap as alternative to Google Maps.
