Change event Registration Access on a certain date

Hi,

We have some events that users of a specific user group can register for the events by a certain date.
After the date, any registered users can register for the events.

For this, we have to manually change the Registration Access setting of those events at the midnight of the scheduled date to allow registrations by any registered users. It is easy to forget if I didn't add a reminder to my calendar. (Even if I didn't forget, it is not convenient to wait until midnight on the day to change the setting. Sometimes I may not be available at the time.) So I wish to have an additional setting in event configuration for this, so that I don't have to worry about updating the Registration Access setting of events.

The purpose of this feature is to give a higher priority of registration to some user group than other user groups.
(For example, the parents of current students can register for the next semester with higher priority than new students. The parents of current students are in "Parent" user group.)
I hope I am not the only one who would need this feature.
