I can think of several business models that offer one time repeating events as well as events that run for multiple days (non consecutive days, or weekly). One example would be a training facility that offers courses that run 1 day/week over multiple weeks. With the current setup it is unclear to most clients which events in the calendar are a single day, repeating or multi-day spanning several weeks.
It would be very helpful if there was a better way of displaying children of the original event if selected. For example:
- A class that starts on a Monday at 6PM and is one hour, but runs for 6 weeks, it should be possible to show all 6 days without having the option to register for each day, only the first one. Ideally these would be visible in the calendar with a modification to the layout using CSS so students/clients can identify the Parent vs children. These would not be displayed in list views, however the 'parent' should list all the dates for the children.
- Repeating Events would be treated and individual events.
- When editing a Parent event all children should be deleted and recreated, when editing a repeating event this would be an option, however it should also be possible to edit as individual events.
If this has value for your business please vote this up.
Cheers.
