You might be able to do this using a module that allows you to display an iFrame and loading your Timeline page with ?tmpl=component appended to the URL (this suppresses the display of your site's template).
Example of tmpl=component: joomdonationdemo.com/eventbooking/events...ayout?tmpl=component
There are several modules out there that can do iFrames.
Here are a couple of examples (iFrame set to 400px x 500px):

You'll want to set up a new menu item to show the Timeline view that you link to. Set page title to NOT show (unlike my examples above). Optionally, set the menu item to not Display in Menu if you don't want users to access this view directly (option for this under the Link Type tab when editing the menu item). Apply a unique class to the module or menu item so that you can style it as needed with CSS.

[strike]If you mean that you'd like a specific event's details to be accessible via a menu item, you can create a menu item using the Menu Item Type -> System Links -> External URL, and copy and paste in the link to the Event's details page.[/strike]

I still don't quite understanding what it is that you would like to do.
If you can provide a bit more info or some screen shots of what you'd like, I can try to help you out some more later today (have to head out for 10 hours right now!)
