Better use of available places was created by John
With this message I would like to collect more people who would like to use more effective availability management. With this I mean two things:
Display of availability in all views
I think availability should be possible to display on every view as people would like to know if there is enough space before they click to go to details etc. Nowadays, a click less and a more transparency can be the difference between a successful and unsuccessful site!
Possibility to alter the availability easily by hand
Often you sell tickets for an event, but . . . you are not the only one. It should be possible to adjust by hand* the availability per event in an effective way. The best way in my opinion would be a view in the backside that lists all events with their category, capacity, registered places and remaining places (availability) that can be edited at once. The second best option would probably be to have the registered field appear inside every event on the back (put's me already 400 clicks in trouble).
*Currently there are ways to alter availability, but hardly workable. Tuan pointed me on booking registrants from the backsite, but als a long and poluting proces. The best thing I so far found myself is to cheat the system and put "show event capacity" off in the configuration off and use this field on the backside as a "correction field". Not tried yet, but should work. Either of the solutions not really great with my over 400 events!
Please please if you agree with me, display your support here below so that Tuan can see the future of this. I think it really would add something for all!
Thanks, John
