We have our Edocman Categories and our system file and document on disk matching one another (hierarchy). Sub-categories have corresponding sub-directories.

After setting up our Edocman Categories and file structure, we have been asked to change the category structure around. It appears that changing where a category is located in the hierarchy (what it's parent is) and where a document belongs ( which category) will not affect the location on disk. So, we could end up with a file system that has little similarity to our category structure.

I would like to see the option to move physical files when changing the document's parent category. Not sure if this is possible considering a document can have multiple categories. Maybe we could designate which category to store the document under on disk.

Ideally it would behave as follows:
Category X belongs under Category A and there is an underlying directory structure of Category A > Category X (subdirectory). You change Category X parent to be the root and the Category X directory gets moved to root, instead of under Category A directory. Same with documents. It would also be nice not to have to re-index these documents, but it seems that the Indexer store file location and that does not change.

Thanks.
