Display date in datepicker field as d-m-Y

Hi,
I know we can set the parameters to change the date displayed for events, but when using the DATE field with the calendar popup the date is always displayed as Y-m-d. We need to display it as d-m-Y

Obviously it is a common request because most other date formats that are displayed in the Event booking extension can be changed within the parameters, but the actual DATE field format cannot be changed at the moment as far as I can see.

Any suggestions appreciated, or adding a parameter to change this in a future version would be great,

Has this now been done in 2.0.4?
I am using 2.0.3 but it is not in that.
