Make a copy of an event

I have a several events, which are repeated once a year, not always the same date, but once a year.

Would it be possible to make a backend feature to copy an event? Then I can change the title and date of the copied event and save a lot of time.

It would be great if the custom fields associated could also be transferred to the new event.

That is already possible in the backend, just not the frontend.
