Custom Fields per Category

Atm i can set an custom field to All Events or select events from a list.

I think its better when i can set an custom field to categories. Is it possible?

Is there a possibility to define custom fields per event category ?

In my case that would make lots of things much easier for people registering.

We are a badminton club, we want to offer the possibility to register online to tournaments to our members, and each time they would need to fill in their badminton membership number, their ranking, the name of their partners if they play doubles.

But we also organised internal events (bbq, special trainings, comitee meetings) where we do not need this extra information.

So is there a mean to assign custom fields to only a specific category ?

My clients also require this functionality as it makes the component far more flexible. Or at least a way to select which custom fields are used by a category.

+1 for this feature, otherwise each time a new event is added to a specific category which always needs fields, the user has to remember to associate the custom fields!
