Using tags on event description was created by Gio Bas
Dear Tuang,
I hope my message finds you well.
I come back to you asking if, at the moment, EB is supporting the usage of tags on event description.
In particular, I would need to use some tags both from the "Event Custom Fields" and other tags, such as
- [EVENT_ID]
- [SHORT_DESCRIPTION]
- [LOCATION_NAME]
- [SPEAKERS]
Thank you in advance.
Kind regards,
Gio

Hi Gio
Currently, only event custom fields can be used. You can use syntax [NAME_OF_FIELD_IN_UPPERCASE] to display value of the event custom fields
For other tags, it is not supported. If you really need it, customization will be needed
Regards,
Tuan

Hi Tuan,
Thank you for your return. Indeed, that would be great if you could implement this feature in one of the next releases
Best

Hi Gio
I could not support [SPEAKERS] tag for performance concern. But I updated code of the extension to support the other tags as requested:
[EVENT_ID]
[SHORT_DESCRIPTION]
[LOCATION_NAME]
If you want to use these tags, download the latest package from server, update it to your site to use it
Regards,
Tuan

Thanks for your nice words. For speakers, if you still need it, you can use this plugin
docs.joomdonation.com/eventsbooking/plugins/content-speakers
You can use the syntax in description of event, same with use it in Joomla article

Tuan
