Hi there, we have been interested in displaying past events as Expired, and also if an event is/has been fully booked out on the main monthly calendar.
Extending from Manfred Lilge's post/solution (3 years 6 months ago #150315), we have updated the following files:
- default_calendar.php
- weekly.php
- daily.php
- en-GB.override.ini (site language override)
We've attached these modified files in a zip file [expired-fully-booked-calendar-events_v520.zip]. There are also 3 images displaying the effect on each calendar view. If the event is both expired and fully booked, they will both show.
Please note, we have a few more customisations in our files. You can easily seem them as we have added comments to help identify where they are.
regards

Hi there.
In addition to what we did the other day, we have extended these overrides to display 4 possible messages/status shown on the main monthly calendar and modules.
- expired
- fully booked
- available bookings: xx
- only xx bookings left
We've attached these modified files in a zip file [availbale-bookings-calendar-v520.zip]. There are also 4 images displaying the effect on each calendar view, plus the homepage module view.
override file = SITE/TEMPLATE/html/com_eventbooking/eventgrid/default.php
MODULES on homepage
user2 position --> [Events Booking - Advanced Events Slider] - using the grid layout
right position --> [Events Booking - Upcoming Events] - using the grid layout
override file = SITE/TEMPLATE/html/com_eventbooking/calendar/daily.php
override file = SITE/TEMPLATE/html/com_eventbooking/calendar/default_calendar.php
override file = SITE/TEMPLATE/html/com_eventbooking/calendar/weekly.php
default calendar - menu
override file = SITE/language/overrides/en-GB.override.ini
Please note, we have a few more customisations in our files. You can easily see them as we have added comments to help identify where they are.
