Front-end Registrants List: Hide Cancel Registrations, Mass Mail etc buttons

I have created an access group for volunteers who will be "checking in" registrants.
Volunteers need to log in to see the Registrants list, and I've given the group access to only:
a) Front-end Registrants Management and
b) View Registrants List.

When logged in, I only want this group to see the Check In and Check Out buttons. How do I remove the rest of these buttons from this view?

The only way is customizing the code to remove the buttons you don't want. These buttons should be removed for everyone, correct?
