[21-October-2026] Events Booking version 5.11.0 released was created by Tuan Pham Ngoc
Dear Customers
Today, we are pleased to release Events Booking 5.11.0. Below are details changes/improvements in this release:
1. Improved Revenue Chart The Revenue chart in the administrator dashboard now offers flexible reporting options, allowing administrators to analyze revenue over custom date ranges and intervals, filter results by event category, and compare the financial performance of individual or multiple events side by side.Administrators can view revenue by booking date or payment date, track paid, pending, and cancelled amounts, compare results with the same period in the previous year, and switch between total revenue and per-event breakdowns. The chart also supports navigation between reporting periods and CSV export.
2. Added Registration Threshold Notification Plugin
The plugin automatically sends notification emails when an event reaches specified registration thresholds, such as 50, 100, or 120 registrants. Thresholds can be configured individually for each event, with the plugin's Default Thresholds parameter used as a fallback when event-specific thresholds are not configured.
3. Improve Mailchimp Integration
Added support for assigning event registrants to MailChimp Tags, alongside Audiences and Groups, making it easier to organize registrants and target them with relevant email campaigns.
4. Improve System - Events Booking Reminder Plugin
The Event Reminder plugin now allows administrators to configure independently whether the first, second, and third reminder emails should be sent only to checked-in registrants, providing greater flexibility in managing event communications.A new scheduled task has also been added to trigger reminder emails as an alternative to the existing system plugin. Using the scheduled task is recommended for more reliable reminder processing, especially on high-traffic websites where the system plugin may trigger reminder processing multiple times if a proper cron job is not configured. This helps reduce the risk of duplicate reminder emails.
5. Custom Fields Improvement
- Added a new setting allow choosing whether a custom field should be shown on Registration History
- Allow using Place Holder For Date and DateTime custom field type
- Better custom field API for rendering custom field value on email, on registrants management, in email tags and thank you message.
6. Update EB Square Card Payment Plugin
The EB Squareup Card payment plugin was updated to use latest Square SDK. So if you are using the payment plugin, and your site is running on PHP 8.1.0+, please update to latest version of the payment plugin to make sure it is continue working well.
7. Other Improvements + Bugs Fixes
- Allow adding more data to registrants export: Category ID, Event Owner ID, Event Owner Username
- Added Show Attachments From Parent Event config option to allow showing attachments of parent event on children event details page
- Allow searching for events base on title using title: syntax
- Allow using Common Tags in Group Members email
- Improve Ticket Types support on Shopping Cart, respect Only Allow Registering For One Ticket Type for each event parameter.
- Use new Joomla Toolbar API to create and render toolbar buttons, make sure the extension still works well when the deprecated code is removed on future Joomla releases.
- Fixed delete event does not delete indexed event data in Smart Search
