[02-September-2026] Events Booking version 5.10.0 released

Dear Customers

Today, we are pleased to release Events Booking 5.10.0. Below are details changes/improvements in this release:

1. Support Shopping Cart For Ticket Types

You can now enable Shopping Cart in Events Booking even if you have Ticket Types enabled/defined for your events (it was not possible in earlier releases). However, there is one limitation: You cannot collect Members Information for each ticket type when Shopping Cart is enabled

2. Improve Conversion Tracking

Events Booking allows you to enter conversion tracking code to track registration complete in the extension. However, you will need to enter the code you want yourself and it could be difficult for some users. In this release, we made it easier by adding two new plugins for the purpose:

-  Events Booking - Google Analytics Purchase
- Events Booking - Meta Pixel Purchase

3. Other Improvements
- Added new Editor field type to allow registrants to enter data using editor if needed.
- Added new option All Words for Search Events Method config option to return events which have search fields match all words in search string.
- Loading correct language while sending email, download invoice, certificate.... to registration to make sure all tags use in email messages (Date Format, Registration Details) are displayed using correct language (on multiple website).
- Improve modules: Allow adding new module layout for module when it is needed.
- Update TCPDF library to latest version

4. Bugs Fixes
- Fixed error when Ticket QRCODE is generated under certain conditions
- Fixed SQL error on server uses certain Maria DB 12.3+ (to_date is a reserved keyword)
- Fixed SQL error when export registrants when there are too many registration records (more than 60K)

I updated because of QR Code scanning issue.
Seem that the issue is done,
but now I cannot download Tickets (pdfs) anymore!

Result when clicking on ticket pdf in backend:
Maximum call stack size of 8339456 bytes (zend.max_allowed_stack_size - zend.reserved_stack_size) reached. Infinite recursion?

Could cause by something else because it worked well here for us (just tried it on demo site to be sure)

I would like to suggest a small but very useful improvement for Events Booking.

We use a custom File Upload field that allows registrants to upload their bank transfer receipts when selecting an offline payment method.

Currently, when editing a registration in the Joomla administrator (com_eventbooking&view=registrant), the uploaded image is displayed only as a downloadable filename.

Would it be possible to add an image thumbnail preview directly below or next to the uploaded filename?

Ideally:

Automatically display a small thumbnail (100–120px) for JPG, JPEG, PNG, and WebP files.

Clicking the thumbnail would open a larger preview in a lightbox/modal without leaving the registration page.

Keep the existing download link.

For PDF files, keep the normal download/open option.

Make this functionality available for any custom File Upload field, not just payment receipts.

This would be especially helpful for event organizers who manually verify bank transfers and offline payments, saving time by avoiding the need to download each receipt.

It could even be an optional feature in the File Upload field settings.

Maybe you can edit the field, set Show On Registrants Management to Yes. The field will be displayed directly on Registrants Management screen with a thumbnail and click on it will download the file

That mean you have same behavior, but it is being displayed directly on Registrants Management screen. You do not need to click on registration record to access to that file

I already have **“Show On Registrants Management” enabled**, and the thumbnails are working correctly in the registrants list, as shown in the attached screenshot.

I just wanted to share a couple of ideas on how this functionality could be improved, based on how I'm currently using Events Booking:

**1. Thumbnail preview on the Edit Registrant page**

When editing an individual registration (`view=registrant&id=8331`), uploaded images currently appear only as filenames with download links. My suggestion is to display a thumbnail directly on this page as well.

**2. Image preview in a popup**

Instead of automatically downloading the image when clicking a thumbnail, it would be great to open it in a **popup/lightbox** with zoom controls, a close button, and a **Download button** if needed.

Ideally, this would work in both the Registrants Management list and the individual Edit Registrant page.

These are just my suggestions based on my current workflow, as I frequently review bank transfer receipts for offline payments.

**I've attached a screenshot showing how I currently have this configured.**

I believe these small improvements could make Events Booking even more convenient for administrators.

Thanks for your suggestion Hernan. I will think more about it. I guess I will show thumbnail on registrant edit screen. However, for showing image on popup lightbox, I don't think I will implement it

Having the thumbnail displayed directly on the Registrant Edit screen would already be a great improvement and very helpful for reviewing offline payment receipts.

I understand your decision regarding the lightbox. I just thought it could be a convenient way to preview images without downloading them, but the thumbnail improvement alone would definitely be appreciated.
