Today, we are pleased to release Events Booking 5.9.0. Below are details changes/improvements in this release:
1. Improvements
- Improve Upcoming Events Grid Layout and Category Grid Layout menu item types, allow using Text color defined in the category for color of the category displayed in the layout. So you can now control both Text color and background color of the category.
- Added This Year, Next Year options to duration filter for filter bar which is displayed on events list page (upcoming events and category menu item types)
2. Bugs Fixed
- Fixed files which registrants uploaded on registration form not being sent to admin email if configured. This bug started on 5.8.x when we add random prefix to uploaded filename to harden security for upload.
- Fixed POW captcha not working for group registration.
3. Added missing CSRF token checks
There were some methods/operations missing CSRF token check. These missing checks are added in this release to prevent CSRF attacks
4. Other technical changes
- We worked on several code refactoring on this release, move the business logic from controllers to models to follow MVC best practices, easier to maintain and extend code in the future. This actually contains most code changes in this release.
- Clean up/delete PDF invoices, tickets, certificates ... automatically after usages (email, download) to both save hosting space and also prevent unauthenticated access on servers does not support .htaccess
