Today, we are pleased to release
Events Booking 5.8.2.This release addresses a security issue that could allow an unauthenticated user to download the invoice for a registration if they knew or could guess the corresponding registration ID.
We recommend updating to version
5.8.2 as soon as possible to ensure your site benefits from this security fix.
- Joomla 3 users who is using Events Booking version 4.9.x won't be affected by this issue.
- People who updated to 5.8.1 after 19pm, 20 July 2026 my local time (GMT + 07) is also not affected by this issue. The reason is because when we received report, we fixed the issue immediately and deployed as a hot fix while waiting for confirmation from mysites.guru that the fix is OK before making new release 5.8.2.
