Phone number in custom fields

Hi, currently in the registration form we have just a text field for our customers to input their phone number.

I would like to have it where they only have to input their 10 digit number and the dashes will automatically insert themselves and display as such " ### - ### - #### ".

I looked over the documentation and wasn't able to find anything for specifically this. 

Any guidance is appreciated.

Try to edit the field, set Input Mask to 000-000-0000 to see if it works for your need
