Activate queue was created by Wiebe Werkman
Hello Giang,For a client of ours we are going to use Eshop, it involves selling a lot of tickets.
  • What he would like is that a queue can be activated, so that those who log in fifth and later to buy a ticket, will be queued and as soon as someone (spot 1 tm 4) completes their order, that number 5 will have access to ticket sales.
Is this possible, can we activate a queue that keeps track of who's turn it is to buy tickets and preferably also indicate how many more waiting for them, so they know it can be busy and one has to wait a while?Would love to hear from you,Wiebe

Thanks for your quick response, you indicate that this option is not available “now”, do you mean that a queue option will become available?

If not (in the near future), maybe you can tell me what we can use to create a queue for ticket sales for our customer? I hope it comes soon in E-shop, advice is welcome.

Thanks in advance,
Wiebe

Hi again Wiebe,

Seem this is not general / popular feature so I don't have plan to develop / add it in the future.

Sincerely, Giang

Okay, then we'll have to work with what we bought from you, we'll try that.

While testing, I run into the following. I have set that there are only 5 tickets for sale, I can enter 6 or more at feestweekstedum.nl/kaartverkoop , then I get a notification that there are a maximum of 5 tickets available.

Then I go to the shopping cart and there I can also enter 6 or more tickets and the sale price also changes.

So I have some questions:
- how can I set up to see how many tickets are still available? (we have 5 spots per time slot, come 20+ time slots online)
- how can we have see how many spots there (yet) available are available?
- When I empty the cart, nowhere do I see a button to close the pop-up (the product has been removed from your cart), so I have to click somewhere in the menu to get out of there

Hope you can help with this, all questions are related to Eshop, would love to hear how to resolve this.

Thanks in advance,
Wiebe

Hello Wiebe,

1 & 2. Products only have quantity stock (availability). I am not sure how you setup the timeslot and spot for products in EShop. If you want to show the product quantity stock, simply go to EShop -> System -> Configuration -> Layout tab, "Show Avaiability" set to Yes.

2. If you are at popout cart, then there is a close (x button) on the top right hand conner. Simply click on it to close the popout window.

Sincerely, Giang
