Paid orders not generating email or invoice.

For some reason Eshop is suddenly not generating an invoice or sending notification of completed payment after a sale.
We are receiving the payment notification from PayPal but Eshop is not changing order to complete.
Even if we manually change the order to complete no emails are being sent.

Can you please advise?
