Hello,

If you don't want to show the image of product there, then I think you can use Products Table layout instead of Default layout.

You can also use custom CSS to hide the image there if you want.

In System // Configuration I have gone to the Layout tab I have set the default products layout to table and set show image in table layout to "No".

Still images show.
