New Customer Account Activations was created by Vikki Bling
I am experiencing a few issues with account activations. I have customers registering and not activating their accounts and as the administrator I am not receiving any account activation requests.
To be honest, I have no need or desire for my customers to "activate" their accounts.
How can I disable the account activation requirement?
Is it via Joomla>Users>Manage>Options ---- New Users Account Activation: change this to None?
Please confirm if this is correct and if anything else is required.
Many thanks

yes, correct, you may disable activation of new account registration at joomla option, also, make sure "received system emails" at joomla users tab is set to YES for your ID to receive account activation email.
and dont forget to set the email setting correctly at general setting

Thanks Seraph.
I changed "Joomla>Users>Manage>Options-New Users Account Activation" to None. Now I am not receiving admin order confirmations. How do I fix this? How do I generate emails for missed orders?
"make sure 'received system emails' at Joomla users tab is set to YES for your ID to receive account activation email."
Where do I find the Joomla users tab?
"and don't forget to set the email setting correctly at general setting"
Where do I find general settings for emails?
Cheers

I changed "Joomla>Users>Manage>Options-New Users Account Activation" to None. None I am not receiving admin order confirmations. - make sure your joomla email setting is correct, also check eshop > system > mail, you may add additional personal email there and test again see if it works. if personal email can receive means wrong setting for store/joomla email. How do I fix this? How do I generate emails for missed orders? - need product owner to answer, you may advise your purchaser to view the order history to download the invoice
"make sure 'received system emails' at Joomla users tab is set to YES for your ID to receive account activation email."
Where do I find the Joomla users tab? - Top menu at joomla "Users", click your ID, then check received system emails tab
"and don't forget to set the email setting correctly at general setting"
Where do I find general settings for emails? - joomla control panel, left menu tab, look for "Global", then go to "server" tab, check the mail setting

Dear all,
To receive the notification emails for the orders, you need to go to EShop -> System -> Configuration -> Mail tab to enable the notification email from there.
By the way, what's payment method that you are using on your site?
Sincerely, Giang

I have both Paypal and Paypal Pro payment method options.
Paypal Pro is for credit card payments, Visa & Mastercard.
I've just discovered that orders using Paypal Pro generate the admin order confirmation correctly.
These orders reach the 'Completed' status once lodged by customers.
Orders using Paypal do not generate the admin order confirmation.
These orders remain at the 'Pending' status once lodged by customers.
