How to increase customer session time?

Hello,

my question is how to increase customer session time?
The shopping cart is empty after ca. 20 min.
Is it possible for the products to stay in the shopping cart for weeks or more?

Hello Dany,

That's the session time from the global configuration of your Joomla site. Please go to the back-end of your site, then go to System -> Global Configuration -> System tab, change the value of Session Lifetime to the value that you expect.

thank you for your response.

The session timeout is 15 min by default, but I would like to keep the products in shopping cart for logged or not logged users until their next visit to the site.

For example: I am a new visitor of the website. As not registered or not logged user I am saving some products in the shopping cart. After some days I am visiting the website again, I see the products in the shopping cart and I am making the order.

Is it possible that?

I am sorry but that's impossible. EShop use Global session of Joomla to hold products in the cart. When session is expired, all of products will be removed from the cart.
