Which module is used for the 'main' content, ie com_content?

Also is there a debug flag to overlay the module positions on the page like some other template mfgs?

1. Yes, we use default content component to show some demo content on the template.

2. You can overlay the module positions of fashion pro template if you want. Read more about it in the documentation here: eshoptemplates.com/docs/

This didn't quite answer my question.

1) what is the name of the module that displays com_content output?

2) I couldn't find what if any flag would trigger a module name overlay. Other templates might have a setting that allows you to use domain.com/?layout to enable an overlay on any page that would display the module name.

You can see all position of our template in Template manager => Layout tab.
Or go to Template manager => Option button on the right => Preview Module Positions: change to Enable.
After that, go to frontend of the site, type: domain.com?tp=1
