create a new category with the same name

hi, i created a new import products template, with essential information about products. for example with manufacturer name and category name. for manufacturer all work, i mean it relates product to an existent manufacturer. for categories instead it creates new categories with the same name of existing categories

i see the issue happens for subcategories but works for main category

hi, how are you? tx for your reply. i mean whe i import products using a template with category name field if i write the name of a main category it works, if the product is inside a subcategory not works because creates a new main category with the name of subcategory

In this case, you must specify full page of parent category, child categories in the category name. Example:

category_name: IT/Computer/Laptops

This means that IT is parent category, Computer is the first child category, Laptops is the final child category. And product will be assigned into Laptops.
