Price displayed in the shop includes VAT. was created by Ralf Deing
Hello, how should I enter the product price if the shop needs to display the price *including* VAT? And what settings do I need to use so that the net price is shown in the shopping cart and on the invoice—and then adds up to the shop's displayed price? I’ve tried everything! For example, the product costs €18.90; this is the price the customer needs to see. However, the shopping cart needs to show a net price of €17.66, plus 7% VAT and €2.90 shipping, resulting in a total of €21.80. If I enter the price as €18.90 in the product settings, the invoice totals don't work out. If I use €17.66, the shop page displays €17.66—regardless of whether I toggle the "Price includes tax" setting to "on" or not. Nothing changes with either price setting. Can anyone help? To summarize: price on the shop page must include VAT, while the shopping cart and invoice must show the net amount (excluding VAT). I’ve been trying to figure this out for an hour now. Many thanks, R. Deing.

Hello Ralf Deing,
Thank you for submitting the question here. EShop does not support to enter the price included tax. You can enter the price without tax, then setup the tax rate and tax classs to apply to the products and display the price included tax.
Please read more about how to setup the tax here docs.joomdonation.com/eshop/system-manage/taxes
If you need more helps, please go to our ticket system at joomdonation.com/support-tickets.html to submit new ticket to EShop category and send me the super admin account so I can help you.

Hi Giang,
I found the source of the error. I had selected "billing address" for the tax class setting "based on." As a result, the tax wasn't calculated on the amount or displayed for the product in the shop. Now I’ve selected "shipping address," and the amount is displaying correctly.
Thanks for the reply.
