Users Menu Item in Configuration Option tab was created by Alison
Hi Giang or anyone who
I have just updated to J5.4 and checking my configuration in the eShop.
I see an option for the Users Menu Item with the helpline "Enter the default menu item of Users component." I have an overall Users menu with several options, and I don't know which one you are referring to for this ID. Please tell me - is it the User Profile, User Login or one of the other options? Should this be connected to the Main Menu, as mine are all on invisible menus?
Many thanks
Alison

Hi Alison
I would say that you leave that empty. I believe we should remove that config option in the future
You should create hidden menu items to link to the following menu item types of Users component:
- Login Form
- Password Reset
- User Reminder Request
When EShop needs to link user to these pages, Joomla will find the right menu item to use for each link. It is actually still Ok if you do not create menu items, these links will still work, just does not look pretty (it will have component/users in the links)
Regards,
Tuan

Yes. But please create the suggested above menu items. It is not required, but will make the link to users component for login, reset password, reset username look prettier
