Canoncial Link

Greetings! Again thank you for a great joomla extension and also the amount of time you dedicate to it. Can you please give me an idea or some direction on when and how to use the Canoncial Link. I know it was just added and the documentation page has not been updated with it just yet, but an example would be great in the most of easy of terms to explain it, I use pro-sitemaps to make a sitemap for my site, and there is quite a few that our skipped plus I get beat up in Google Webmaster tools regarding the canoncial links. For instance WHY PAGES AREN'T INDEXED:

Alternate page with proper canonical tag 4,180 pagesDuplicate without user-selected canonical 1,553 pages

Thank you for submitting the question here. Yes, from version 3.9.5, I added the canoncial link for categories and products. So when you edit a category or a product, you can enter the canoncial link for that category and product. When a category/product has canoncial link, then this link will be added to the category page or product page.
