Purchases all stuck with Pending status?

Hi there

One of my clients is having an issue with her eShop, all her sales are getting stuck with a pending status? She doesn't get email notifications of a successful purchase and of course her customers don't get notified either?
The store has been running successfully for a number of years and apart from the odd eShop update we haven't made any changes. I'm wondering if the "successful payment flag" from PayPal isn't getting received back to eShop? IPN notifications? Is there a way to check this?
Any advise is welcomed.

This was solved by navigating to eShop > Plugins > Payments > os_paypal > and then setting the 'Use new PayPal IPN verification' to Yes
