Products advertised but not able to be bought

How do I make a product appear on a website but not be available to buy till a certain date?

I know that  if we want products to appear on a website then we have to have a price, SKU, and be in stock (or at least one). If we take any of these away then the item will not appear on the website. Also, even if we try to put the a date (e.g. 24th April) as the available date then the item will only appear on the site from this date.

Hello Debs,

I have already answered this via your ticket. You just need to put the quantity of product to 0, then change the configuration setting of Stock Checkout to No, then the product is still available but can not be ordered. Only when you have it in stock, then customers can purchase it.
