EShop downloadable product hosted elsewhere

Is it possible to host EShop downloadable products on Amazon S3, Google Drive etc?

Giang was kind enough to write me some custom code for a fantastic value cost a while ago and we now host all our mp4 movies and downloadable content on either Amazon S3 or Egnyte.
The confirmation email to customers contains a download link after checkout and it helps us out heaps
