Invalid file mime type was created by Morten Rasmussen
Hi,

When I try to create a product with a downloadable epub file, I get this error message: "Invalid file mime type"

Can Eshop not accept the epub file extension? Or is there something I have to know to do it?

Best regards Morten

Hello Marten,

Thank you for submitting the question here. Regarding your question: By default, EShop does not support to upload epub file extension I think. To change that, please go to EShop -> System -> Configuration -> Option tab, at "Allowed File Types" and "Allowed File Mime Types", please add type of epub file extension there, then you can upload it normally.

I hope this is useful.

Sincerely, Giang

Hi Giang, thans for your reply.

I actually already tried, what you suggest (see attached image) but it did not help. You can se in the image how I did it, but maybe this is the wrong way?
I also tried to put it this way "text/epub" but that did not work either.

Best regards, Morten

Hello Morten,

I believe that you have still not put the correct value for File Extensions and File Mime Types. Can you please zip your file and upload the zip file?

If not, please attach that file here so I can check to see exact file extensions and file mime types.

Sincerely, Giang

Hi,

The file I want to upload is with the extension ".epub". This is the general standard filetype for ebooks. Do you know this filetype?

Kind regards, Morten

Hello Morten,

Thank you for that. I just checked and I see:

1. File Mimetype: application/epub+zip
2. File Extension: epub

So can you please add these values to the configuration of EShop and try again?

Sincerely, Giang
