Sorting attributes

Hello,
I would like to be able to sort products on attributes I added.
So I added the attribute "year" to my products and I would like to be able to sort from the front end on "year".
I thought the option "Attribute sorting" in the sorting tab could do the trick but I don't see anywhere to activate it on the front end.

Is that possible?

Hello Gerrit,

I am sorry but that's not supported. "Attribute sorting" is for sorting attributes on the Specification tab. There is no option to display products base on sorting of attributes as you want.
