I've been tasked with cleaning up our Eshop. When we first looked into it, it was just collecting based on the statewide sales tax. Recent changes went into effect where now online retailers have to collect based on the shipping address county tax rate. California alone has about 2,256 zip codes with 48 different counties. We're now going to have collect the sales tax from these counties. LA county alone and having to add every single zip code range to calculate the sales tax took me about 4 hours; there's also cities, like Long Beach, that have their own sales tax I'm going to have to add separately to make sure the tax is being collected properly or my accounting department is going to be pissed. I noticed Virtuemart and a few other shops using joomla have an extension to calculate sales tax based on the zip code it's being shipped to. Is there any extension/plugin/addon that will do all 50 states counties tax codes when you check out for EShop? I'm a single person running our website, California I can finish, but for the rest of the states I feel like it'll take me years. Otherwise I'm going to have to restart the ecommerce site on a different platform and I really don't want to lose everything I've created already for it(products, categories, product data sheets, etc.).
