ask a question restriction

Is is possible to restrict the ask a question link to logged-in users?

A quick update: I solved the problem by using a plugin to put a link to the login page instead of to the ask a question form, and the ask a question link appears once the viewer is logged in. Because of the excellent documentation, I was able to preserve the code overrides in case of any future eShop releases.
