How to make my store United States Only?

Simple question - I'm selling something that makes no sense to ship internationally, so I'd like to limit my store to US only.

Setting up one shipping option with a geo zone of US only seems to work, but that really upsets customers who shop, build a cart, go to check out and then find out they can't!

Is there a better way?

I am my own hosting provider. That's not my question at all. Let me rephrase.

How do I only accept orders only from customers with United States addresses? Can I require that information BEFORE allowing add to cart?

Everyone should be able to see the site. I just only want to allow orders from people in the United States geozone.

Then can you please publish only United States country in EShop? So customers can only choose United States country as their country when checking out products?

Sure, but at that point they've added products to their cart and get really upset when, after doing all that, find they can't check out.

I'd like to get their shipping information before that.

So when they add to cart for the first time, perhaps, it asks for their shipping information and gently tells them they can't add to cart if it's not viable.
