How to do EPOS integration? was created by Peter Mee
I have an eShop running well for a client, who has been managing products via Import Pro.

They are in the process of installing a new EPOS and would ideally like to have eShop and the EPOS system talk to each other. All product, inventory and pricing details would be stored in the EPOS, as would customer data, orders etc.

This is common practice as businesses grow out of stand-alone eCommerce solutions.

We're very familiar with the import / export capabilities of eShop, but would now seek to automate it for file exchange.

The interfaces would be.....
  • EPOS sends inventory / pricing feed -> eShop at scheduled interval.
  • eShop woould send order details -> EPOS on receipt including customer data, SKUS, quantities and price
  • EPOS would send eShop order staus updates when order is processed (picked & packed)
File interchange would likely be .csv. The EPOS vendors are willing to work with us on file data structures etc.

While it's obvious eShop has the capbility to import and export manually, the question is where to start on automating such processes?

If its not possible in eShop in any way, I've been looking at RO CSVI as a likely solution. Unfortunately, it supports many Joomla eCommerce solutions, but not eShop. It does support custom databse access, so that might be a route. Anyone tried it? Has there ever been an effort to add eShop to RO CSVI? It would be an excellent addendum to the product and essentially negate the need for Import Pro.

Thoughts appreciated.

Hello Peter,

Thank you for submitting the question here. Unfortunately, EShop does not have any integration feature with EPOS system as you want.

Sincerely, Giang
