Connect Joomla search box to Eshop catalog

I want people to be able to search the website for keywords and have results from within the Eshop catalog show up as well as results from the joomla articles.

Is there a setting somewhere that i am missing to allow this cross searching ability?

The EShop Search plugin will allow you to do that. Just enable it.
