You have Social integration enabled. To remove it go to Joomla > Adminsitrator > Components > Eshop > System > Configuration > Social Tab
the button yes/no for "show facebook button" turns the button under the product description on and off, for users to share the product to their facebook.
The button yes/no for "Show Facebook Comment" turns the button on or off for the user to share their review to their Facebook feed.
You dont have to have facebook yourself to use these buttons as they are links to your customers facebook accounts for them to share YOUR products to THIER facebook pages. I recommend leaving them on for the free advertising!
All the other controls on the same config page for pinterest google+ linkedin and twitter all allow your users to share your products and services on their own social networks.

Hi Clifton,
Thank you for your excellent response! I am going to take your advice and leave the social media icons on, but will turn off the "Facebook comment" portion, as the setting was there as well..

ps - i went ahead and looked at your company website, thats a great work indeed there.. bee care in our society today is challenging with all the monsanto and stuff.. but getting into all this may not be what this forum is for..

Vince, is there a particular reason you dont want people to be able to share your products on their own facebook pages? Advertising is expensive, i never turn it away if someone wants to give it to me for free

Hey Clifton,
It wasn't the social share that I really wanted to turn off, but "Facebook comment".. I had previously turned off social share because of other styling issues, but the site development settled down some now, and its looking the way we want it. so have started to slowly implement back the other things like social share..
