importing product pictures

i need to change the product image and product option images on my site. i want to upload them in bulk then use a sql script to update the image names in the database. but i cant find the file they are kept in. appreciate any help, thanks

The files of products are stored under media/com_eshop/products folder and the files of options are stored under media/com_eshop/options folder
