Mass Product Cloning?

We have a set of fairly complex products that we need to clone 500 times. The base product is setup like this…

Parent Category
-Child Category 1
--Product 1
--Product 2
--Product 3
-Child Category 2
--Product 1
--Product 2
--Product 3
-Child Category 3
--Product 1
--Product 2
--Product 3

Each of the 500 sets is identical except that some have product options and some do not. So, the only changes that need to be made to each product are…

1) Category
2) SKU
3) Options & values

I'm trying to figure out if there is an efficient way to clone the first set via MySQL?
